ViBIM: Point Cloud to Revit Modeling for Survey and AEC Firms

ViBIM is a BIM outsourcing company based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Since 2014 we have taken point clouds from laser scanning and reality capture firms and returned native Revit models of what is actually built. Most of our clients are survey companies in the US, UK, Australia and Canada who sell measured building models to their own customers and need a production team behind them.
Our core line of work is Scan to BIM Services: you send registered scan data and your requirements, and our discipline teams model the building to the agreed Level of Development.
What our teams model
Each discipline has its own team lead, so a project with architecture, structure and MEP moves through three specialists rather than one generalist.
- Point cloud to BIM: the full workflow, from scan intake to a checked Revit model.
- Architectural modeling: walls, floors, openings, roofs and facades.
- Structural modeling: frames, slabs, columns and foundations in steel, concrete or timber.
- MEP modeling: ductwork, piping, cable tray and equipment.
- Topography modeling: terrain, contours and site context.
- As-built BIM modeling: the constructed condition, with rooms, spaces and asset data.
The full list, including drawings, Revit families and facility management data, is on the Scan to BIM page.
How a project starts
- You share the point cloud (RCP/RCS preferred, E57 accepted) and a short brief by email or phone.
- We return a scope of work, timeline and price within 12 to 24 hours.
- You approve, a named project manager is assigned, and production begins. Typical projects run one to three weeks.
New clients can ask for a free trial on their own sample data before committing.
Where we came from
ViBIM began in 2014 with three people in Hanoi. The founder, architect Pham Thanh, had been using Revit since 2009, when few firms in Vietnam had heard of BIM. Today the company has more than 30 staff and has delivered over 1,000 projects. The longer version is on our About page and the founder's profile.
Notes from the team
We publish practical articles on point cloud processing, LOD selection and Revit workflows on the ViBIM blog.
